I use my 32″ LCD TV as a monitor also so I wanted to hook up my 360 to my Logitech PC speakers as they are a lot better quality than the built in TV speaker. This does the job great as it a lot cheaper than any other alternative.
I read reviews before I bought it about how switching between HDMI inputs would restart your console but they must have fixed it because that does not happen to me. I switch all the time while my 360 is on back and forth between HDMI inputs 1 (360) and 2 (PC) and my console has never restarted.

Not quite right – Basset Hound – Virginia
This audio adapter works and does what it is designed to do, but with a small problem, it makes the Xbox reboot or come on after it’s been turned off. It passes the audio just fine, but if I turn off the Xbox and then the TV, the Xbox will reboot itself and come on. I have had a couple of people on my friends list call me and ask why I am sitting at the dashboard and won’t answer their chat or game invites. I didn’t even know the Xbox was on, which with Xbox’s history of overheating, that could be a bad thing. I noticed that it will reboot the Xbox even if you just change inputs from HDMI to the TV setting. I returned mine and bought a real OEM Microsoft version and it works perfectly, no reboots!

This cable does the trick with one major flaw. It is not wired correctly and the xbox360 will reboot if you switch inputs on your display.
For example, if you have a cable/satellite box in tv hdmi input 1, and the xbox is on tv hdmi 2, then if you switch from the xbox to watch tv and return to the xbox the xbox will reboot.
This is a known problem on lower quality cables because they are missing a ground. This cable can be modified, but you have to crack open the casing, and solder in an additional wire. This is not a tv or setup problem. Its a known issue and you can easily find more info on it on the net.
This problem makes it very difficult to pause a game for long periods and return to it. So i have to give this a low review, because a cable either completely works, or it doesn’t work at all…

i bought this cable for sound because i bought an hdmi to dvi cable, which has not sound. it is slim enough so that you can connect this cable and an hdmi cable to your xbox.
