After about an hour on the phone with mad catz customer service they couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t pick up my ip address. I would invest in a higher quality product instead of dealing with the headache.

This product is a NIGHTMARE! When I received this product, I tried to follow the quick setup instructions,but could not get it to work. I work with computers and equipment all the time, so I knew that I could get this piece of hardware to work. I searched the Internet for blogs on the product and found some advice on how to set it up, which helped tremendously. I connected the device to my Ethernet port and followed the instructions sent with the product. Then I had to access the device through my browser and set up the security information for my router there. Overall it was a hassle to get this thing setup and I would not recommend this product to anyone who does not have some experience working with computer hardware. I had to do a lot of troubleshooting to get this product to work correctly. I think the worst thing about this product, however is that when it gets unplugged it reverts to the default settings. This is TERRIBLE. I have to make sure it retains power so that it works with my network. If it loses power I have to go through the entire setup process all over again. What a waste. I have searched online and every blog I have read says the same thing. Right now it works great with my Xbox system only because I leave it on 24/7.
